Hispanic Scholarships

The studying in the university is nowadays very expensive and the majority of the students can not cover all expenses without additional financial aid. There are many types of studying expenses: the tuition fee, book fee, accommodation, insurance, living expenses, transportation, etc.  There are many scholarships available for the student every year. All the scholarships vary depending on different criteria. For example, there are special scholarships which were established especially for the Hispanic people.

Majority of the lenders prefer to give the scholarships to those people who proved that they can deal with the difficulties of the college life. Because of it the freshmen often do not receive the financial aid. It is better to apply for the scholarship since second year of studying. The most popular scholarships for Hispanic people are described below.

Many Hispanic scholarships are given for those people who have a desire to study computer engineering or computer science and obtain the master’s degree or PhD degree. The main requirements for the candidates are: to be Hispanic, to be permanent resident of the United States, to be the student at least of the second studying year, to have at least 4.0 average academic grade, to be ready to prove the financial need. The winners usually receive about $ 5000 for their studying expenses.

The second Hispanic scholarship is the Costco program. This program provides the financial aid for those students who study Pharmacy. The requirements are: to complete the first year of studying and to study pharmacy. The sum of the scholarship is $ 9 500. If the candidate is ready to work for the Costco during one year after graduation, he can also receive $ 500 as an exam fee and fee for licensing.

If the student studies the journalism, he can apply for the McNamara Family Foundation program. The sum of scholarship varies from $ 5 000 to $ 20 000. The average grade point of the candidates must be at least 4.0. Other requirements are the same.
